Community Service

Approximately 12 percent of Ohio University undergraduates participate in Greek organizations, making it one of the largest Greek communities in the United States. Phi Gamma Delta is one of 15 fraternities on campus striving to foster brotherhood, scholarship, community service, leadership and networking with its members.

While some stereotypes exist about the Greek system, multiple studies have shown positive effects on members of the Greek community. The positive effects include more interaction with peers and increased ability to function successfully in group environments, increased leadership ability, gains in cognitive development, increased engagement in academically challenging tasks, and community service.

Through the efforts of our undergraduate members, the strong support of our 800+ Graduate Brothers and regular visits from International Headquarters Field Staff based in Lexington, Kentucky, we believe our FIJI brothers have a well rounded and successful college experience.
